Welcome to the most delightful part of wedding planning – the cake tasting experience! At Fancy Pants Cakes, I’ve designed the cake tasting process to be unforgettable. Here’s how it works:

Creating your tasting box

You receive separate cake and filling components, allowing you to mix and match to your heart’s content. I even include enough cake for you to share the excitement with your friends and family if you wish.

Getting your tasting box

If you will be passing through Bennington in the near future, let’s schedule a time to meet up, have the consultation, and pick up your tasting box. You can then enjoy it in the privacy of your home/hotel.

For those who can’t visit in person, I offer the option of mailing your tasting overnight via USPS Express. Please note there is an additional cost of $15 for packaging/preparation, plus postage fees which typically range from $35 to $45 depending on your location.

Tasting options and pricing

The tasting experience starts at a minimum value of $30, which includes 3 cake flavors and 3 buttercreams*. If you would like to explore more options, here are the costs:

    • Ganache $7
    • Lemon or passionfruit curd $12
    • German chocolate filling $12
    • Apple pie filling $12
    • Cream cheese frosting $10

Selecting your flavors

Choosing your flavors can be a delightful challenge. Many couples find the base tasting of 3 cakes and 3 buttercreams to be perfect. However, for those seeking more variety or alternative fillings, you can add extras. I recommend not exceeding 5 cakes and 6 fillings, as too many options can make the decision-making process overwhelming.

I believe that offering your guests a variety of choices makes your celebration even more memorable. Therefore, if you’re planning a wedding cake with at least 70 servings, the cost of two flavor combinations (2 cakes and 2 buttercreams) is automatically included in the final cake quote. 

Exploring more flavors

While I can only offer one appointment per couple due to the time required to prepare tastings, if you’re local and interested in trying another flavor after our meeting I’ll gladly set aside a sample for you the next time I make that flavor.
